Privacy Policy

  • Kairo has no accounts. You never sign up or give us your email.
  • Your settings, focus sessions and statistics are stored only on your device. Your session history is kept in an encrypted database. We have no server that receives it.
  • Kairo contains no analytics, no ads, no tracking and no in-app purchases, and it does not share data with third parties.
  • Notifications are scheduled locally on your device. Kairo does not use your microphone, camera, contacts, photos or location.

This policy explains what information the Kairo mobile app ("Kairo", "the app") handles on iOS and Android, why, and what choices you have. Kairo is published by Hangar Apps ("we", "us"). If you have a question, contact us at hangarapps@gmail.com.

1. Information stored only on your device

The following data is saved locally in the app's private storage and is not uploaded to us or anyone else:

  • Settings: timer mode and durations, daily pomodoro goal, language, haptic feedback, auto-start and keep-screen-awake choices, selected background sound, sound level and background image
  • Timer state: the phase you are in and when it ends, so the timer can continue correctly after you leave or reopen the app
  • Session history: for each completed Pomodoro focus block or Focus session, its type, planned and actual length, start and end time, calendar day and time zone. Kairo uses this to show your daily totals, charts and streaks.

Your session history is kept in a database encrypted with SQLCipher. The encryption key is generated on your device and stored in the iOS Keychain or Android Keystore.

You can delete your statistics at any time from Statistics → Clear statistics in the app. Uninstalling Kairo removes all of its data. If you use your device's own backup (for example iCloud Backup or Google backup), that backup may include Kairo's data under your device settings.

2. No third-party data sharing

Kairo does not include analytics, crash reporting, advertising, social login or payment services. We do not sell, rent or share your information, and the app does not track you across other apps or websites.

The app connects to the internet only when you choose to:

  • Legal pages: tapping Privacy Policy or Terms of Service in Settings opens this website in an in-app browser. Like any website, it is hosted by a provider (GitHub Pages) that receives your IP address and browser information to deliver the page.
  • Support: tapping Support opens your email app with a message addressed to us. It includes the app version, your device platform and OS version, and the app language, so we can help you. Nothing is sent until you press send.

3. Device features and permissions

  • Notifications (optional): Kairo asks for permission to send notifications so it can tell you when a focus session or break ends. These are local notifications scheduled on your device. No push token is created or sent to us. You can turn them off in your device settings.
  • Background audio: ambient sounds can keep playing while the screen is locked or you use another app. All sounds are included in the app.
  • Device volume: the sound slider reads and changes your device's media volume. This happens only on your device.
  • Haptics and screen: Kairo can vibrate on timer events and keep the screen on while a timer runs. You can turn both off in Settings.
  • Kairo does not record audio and does not access your microphone, camera, contacts, photos, calendar, health data or location.

4. Legal bases

Because your data stays on your device, we do not receive or process personal data from your use of Kairo. Where the EU/UK GDPR or Turkey's Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) applies to the limited cases where you contact us, we rely on our legitimate interest in answering your request, and on your consent for notifications, which you can withdraw in your device settings.

5. Retention

Data on your device stays there until you clear it or uninstall the app. If you email us, we keep the conversation only as long as needed to help you, and then delete it.

6. Children

Kairo is a general-audience productivity app. It does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, KVKK, or California's CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of your personal data, and to object to or restrict processing. Since Kairo keeps your data only on your device, you can view it in the app and delete it with Clear statistics or by uninstalling. For questions about emails you sent us, write to hangarapps@gmail.com. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

8. Changes to this policy

If Kairo starts handling data differently, for example by adding a new service, we will update this policy before that version is released. The "Last updated" date at the top always shows the latest version, and important changes will be announced in the app or in the store release notes.

1. Yalnızca cihazınızda saklanan bilgiler

Aşağıdaki veriler uygulamanın özel depolama alanında saklanır ve ne bize ne de başka birine gönderilmez:

  • Ayarlar: timer modu ve süreleri, günlük pomodoro hedefi, dil, dokunsal geri bildirim, otomatik başlatma ve ekranı uyanık tutma tercihleri, seçili arka plan sesi, ses seviyesi ve arka plan görseli
  • Timer durumu: uygulamadan çıkıp yeniden açtığınızda timer'ın doğru devam edebilmesi için bulunduğunuz faz ve bitiş zamanı
  • Seans geçmişi: tamamlanan her Pomodoro odak bloğu veya Focus seansı için türü, planlanan ve gerçekleşen süresi, başlangıç ve bitiş saati, takvim günü ve saat dilimi. Kairo bunları günlük toplamlarınızı, grafiklerinizi ve serilerinizi göstermek için kullanır.

Seans geçmişiniz SQLCipher ile şifrelenmiş bir veritabanında tutulur. Şifreleme anahtarı cihazınızda oluşturulur ve iOS Anahtar Zinciri'nde veya Android Keystore'da saklanır.

İstatistiklerinizi istediğiniz zaman uygulamadaki İstatistikler → Verileri temizle bölümünden silebilirsiniz. Kairo'yu kaldırmak tüm verilerini siler. Cihazınızın kendi yedeklemesini (örneğin iCloud Yedekleme veya Google yedekleme) kullanıyorsanız, cihaz ayarlarınıza bağlı olarak bu yedek Kairo verilerini de içerebilir.

2. Üçüncü taraflarla veri paylaşımı yok

Kairo; analiz, çökme raporlama, reklam, sosyal giriş veya ödeme hizmetleri içermez. Bilgilerinizi satmayız, kiralamayız veya paylaşmayız; uygulama sizi başka uygulama ve web sitelerinde izlemez.

Uygulama yalnızca siz istediğinizde internete bağlanır:

  • Yasal sayfalar: Ayarlar'da Gizlilik Politikası veya Kullanıcı Sözleşmesi'ne dokunduğunuzda bu web sitesi uygulama içi tarayıcıda açılır. Her web sitesinde olduğu gibi, sayfayı sunan barındırma sağlayıcısı (GitHub Pages) IP adresinizi ve tarayıcı bilgilerinizi alır.
  • Destek: Destek'e dokunduğunuzda e-posta uygulamanız bize hitaben bir mesajla açılır. Size yardımcı olabilmemiz için mesaja uygulama sürümü, cihaz platformu ve işletim sistemi sürümü ile uygulama dili eklenir. Siz gönder'e basana kadar hiçbir şey gönderilmez.

3. Cihaz özellikleri ve izinler

  • Bildirimler (isteğe bağlı): Kairo, bir odak seansı veya mola bittiğinde size haber verebilmek için bildirim izni ister. Bunlar cihazınızda planlanan yerel bildirimlerdir. Hiçbir push token oluşturulmaz veya bize gönderilmez. Bildirimleri cihaz ayarlarınızdan kapatabilirsiniz.
  • Arka planda ses: ortam sesleri, ekran kilitliyken veya başka bir uygulama kullanırken çalmaya devam edebilir. Tüm sesler uygulamanın içinde gelir.
  • Cihaz ses seviyesi: ses kaydırıcısı cihazınızın medya ses seviyesini okur ve değiştirir. Bu işlem yalnızca cihazınızda gerçekleşir.
  • Titreşim ve ekran: Kairo timer olaylarında titreşim kullanabilir ve timer çalışırken ekranı açık tutabilir. İkisini de Ayarlar'dan kapatabilirsiniz.
  • Kairo ses kaydı yapmaz. Mikrofonunuza, kameranıza, kişilerinize, fotoğraflarınıza, takviminize, sağlık verilerinize veya konumunuza erişmez.

4. Hukuki sebepler

Verileriniz cihazınızda kaldığı için Kairo'yu kullanmanızdan kaynaklanan kişisel verileri almayız ve işlemeyiz. Bize ulaştığınız sınırlı durumlarda 6698 sayılı Kişisel Verilerin Korunması Kanunu (KVKK) veya AB/Birleşik Krallık GDPR'ı uygulanıyorsa, talebinizi yanıtlamak için meşru menfaatimize; bildirimler için ise cihaz ayarlarınızdan geri alabileceğiniz açık rızanıza dayanırız.

5. Saklama süresi

Cihazınızdaki veriler, siz silene veya uygulamayı kaldırana kadar orada kalır. Bize e-posta gönderirseniz yazışmayı yalnızca size yardımcı olmak için gereken süre boyunca saklar, ardından sileriz.

6. Çocuklar

Kairo genel kitleye yönelik bir verimlilik uygulamasıdır. Çocuklar dahil hiç kimseden kişisel bilgi toplamaz.

7. Haklarınız

KVKK'nın 11. maddesi, GDPR veya bulunduğunuz yerdeki diğer mevzuat kapsamında kişisel verilerinize erişme, düzeltilmesini veya silinmesini isteme, bir kopyasını alma, işlemeye itiraz etme veya işlemeyi kısıtlama haklarına sahip olabilirsiniz. Kairo verilerinizi yalnızca cihazınızda tuttuğu için bunları uygulamada görebilir, Verileri temizle ile veya uygulamayı kaldırarak silebilirsiniz. Bize gönderdiğiniz e-postalarla ilgili talepler için hangarapps@gmail.com adresine yazın. Ayrıca Kişisel Verileri Koruma Kurumu'na veya bulunduğunuz ülkedeki veri koruma otoritesine şikâyette bulunma hakkınız vardır.

8. Bu politikadaki değişiklikler

Kairo verileri farklı şekilde işlemeye başlarsa (örneğin yeni bir hizmet eklenirse), o sürüm yayımlanmadan önce bu politikayı güncelleriz. Sayfanın başındaki "Son güncelleme" tarihi her zaman en güncel sürümü gösterir. Önemli değişiklikleri uygulama içinde veya mağaza sürüm notlarında duyururuz.
